This product is made by Chamberlain so it should work splendidly with their products yet do not expect them to care so much about supporting a competitor's line of openers. Make sure you wait for the lights as instructed. Bought it for my husband, but i set it up, it was super easy and he just tells me that really likes it.
It does seem I will need them to reprogram or replace the battery. I bought this product with much doubt due to my technical skills.
When the remote arrived, all I needed to do was quickly scan the written instructions to remind myself of the process. The manual says to turn all of the unused dip switches to off if there are more than needed (in this case 4 were not needed); I tried it both ways with both methods of changing the switches needed but to no avail. I have a Sears Craftsman motor, about 11 years old with smart button design. Much cheaper than purchasing same model in store. My original remote worked from as far away as 250 feet. You have to be within 10 feet of the door to use it.
This one programed easily and works great. The instructions tell you which color your smart-programming button might be and how to program accordingly.
I bought a 2nd one and it was fast having done the preliminary work already. It took a bit of fiddling around to try and find the correct DIP Switch combination, and getting it all to register, but now that it is, it works great.
Bought this and followed the programming instructions, several times. After an old remote died I decided to try this one because it'll do two doors instead of one. I think it's lousy and sending it back. Apparently the switches must match those in the clicker (so if the clicker is lost and you change a dip switch, no one will be able to get into your garage). I gave up trying to get it synced, but my girlfriend was able to get it to work.
With the original remote, I can quickly click the button from 2 blocks down, and my garage door opens. It took about 10 minutes to set up and worked like a charm. My driveway slopes down, so that won't work for me in the winter. I took a chance and ordered the Clicker.
Dang it, it was supposed to be easy to program! The instructions included are very easy to follow. Literally took a few seconds.
