The latest reports that Warren Buffett has been diagnosed with prostate cancer created a ripple of apprehension throughout the investment world, but Buffett took great pains to reassure Berkshire Hathaway stockholders and shareholders that nothing has changed.The investment legend is 81 years of age, and with this age stage 1 prostate cancer is not commonly considered extremely serious or life-threatening in most cases. Tests revealed there are no other cancer spots and Buffett reported that he is feeling good.

It is highly unlikely that the person who struggled with his way to monetary achievements and investment stardom will give in to prostate cancer. Around 70% of the males who are diagnosed with this kind of cancer will not pass away from the disease but rather from unrelated causes. This form of cancer has a 5 year survival rate that's almost 100%, and since Warren Buffett was clinically determined very early, in the 1st stage the chances are that the sickness won't slow the man down any.

Doctors all predict that Warren Buffett could conquer prostate cancer without any problems, even at the age of 81. Starting in the midst of July Buffett will get a two month series of radiation treatment to destroy the cancer cells , and he will have several travel limits in place while he undergoes the treatment. The individual still work every day and has not suffered from loss of energy due to the diagnosis, and his positive mentality could make a huge difference in the outcome.

Investors in Berkshire Hathaway have full confidence in the administration team in position at the business, and Buffett has made it very clear that he is still in command and responsible for all. Howard Buffett, son of the financial investment legend and next in line at the company, will not be taking over while his father gets therapy.
